Matthew Sauer, DPT, a life long Berks County resident, graduated from Alvernia University in 2018 with a doctorate in physical therapy. Specializing in outpatient care, he has extensive experience treating post-surgical patients, athletes, geriatrics, and individuals with neurological conditions. Matthew's treatment philosophy focuses on combining manual therapy with therapeutic exercise to enhance functional mobility and improve quality of life.
Peter Stercho, DPT
Physical Therapist
Peter earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Alvernia University and is dedicated to providing high-quality outpatient care. He works to create a welcoming, supportive environment for all patients.
Peter values a thoughtful, individualized approach to treatment that supports healthy aging, restoring movement, and allowing athletes to safely return to the activities they love. He places a strong emphasis on collaboration, ensuring patients understand and are involved in their care.
Sarah Conlon, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
Sarah is a proud Berks County native and Conrad Weiser High School graduate. She began her professional path at Reading Area Community College before completing the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Lehigh Carbon Community College.
Sarah launched her career in rehabilitation and has developed a broad clinical skill set working throughout Berks County in outpatient-focused settings. Sarah works with patients across a wide range of orthopedic and post-surgical conditions and values a collaborative, hands-on approach to care. She emphasizes movement quality, patient education, and practical progress, helping individuals not only recover from injury but build the confidence to stay active and independent long term.
Michael J. Lehr, DPT
Physical Therapist, Director of Operations
Mike is not only a seasoned healthcare leader but also a dedicated provider focused on delivering patient-centered care. With extensive experience in managing and transforming outpatient clinics, Mike collaborates closely with leading physicians and other therapists in the Reading area to ensure a seamless continuum of care for patients that is focused on patient outcomes. As a father of five children, Mike understands the importance of family, enjoying time with them without physical limitations. He is passionate about personalized hands-on care and brings a kind-hearted and holistic approach to every patient he serves.
Nick Uba, DPT
Physical Therapist
Nicholas (Nick) Uba earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Temple University. Nick’s primary focus is outpatient orthopedics. Using a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to care, Nick blends clinical reasoning with patient education, helping patients understand not just what they’re doing in therapy, but why it matters.
Nick is known for his supportive, coaching-oriented mindset, meeting patients where they are and adapting treatments to their individual goals. At Freedom, Nick’s goal is to help each patient move better, feel stronger, and return safely and confidently to the activities that matter most to them.
Casey Correa, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
Having graduated from Penn State University as a PTA with a degree in Kinesiology, Casey has been helping patients regain independence since 2016.
His passion for movement and wellness, whether through soccer, hiking, or the gym, drives his approach to care. Casey loves solving the complex puzzle of the human body and empowering patients to live life fully and without limits. At Freedom, he is dedicated to guiding each patient toward their healthiest self, supporting both recovery and lifelong freedom of movement.
